Pratigya is anxious when Menaka does not return home in time after dropping off Samar at school. Dadi asks Pratigya to call up Menaka and inquire about her whereabouts. Menaka goes to a jewelry shop with her mother and gives an order for imitation jewels. Arushi is crushed when Tanmay asks her not to work. Tanmay accuses her of taking up a job to meet other men. Menaka plans to wear the fake jewelry while handing over the real jewelry to her mother for safekeeping. She tells her mother that if someone were to find out that she is wearing fake jewelry, she would put the blame on her in-laws. Krishna explains to the college girl who had professed her love to him that he is happily married and in love with his wife. He is taken aback when the girl tells him that she had tattooed his name on her arm to show how much she loves him.
